The ultra distance athlete Patricio Doucet, sponsored by Vik Hotels, resident in Lanzarote who ran the 7 Ironman in the 7 Canary Islands for 7 days in October 2015, was one of the selected to participate in the World Championship Of Ultraman, in Hawaii last 25, 26 and 27 November. This event consists of 3-day of competition, Covering a total distance of 320 miles (515 kilometers), on the Big Island of Hawaii, it requires that each participant completes a 6.2 mile (10 K) open ocean swim, a 261.4 mile (421 K) cross-country bike ride, and a 52.4 mile (84 K) ultra-marathon run. Each day with a cut-off time of 12 hours, which caused 3 athletes couldnt finish it! Patricio Doucet finished on the top ten in this Championship, only 31 athletes could finish. The level was very high and counted with the participation of previous world champions of other editions. Lanzarote was represented at the highest international level thanks to the sponsorship of the Vik San Antonio Hotel among others.
